Your right Mindy, oversight is coming and is badly needed. It is very unfortunate that government oversight is necessary because they usually mess up a system more than they improve it. The need is to restore confidence in the financial information that investors rely on. There seems no other way to accomplish this now. This needs to be dealt with swiftly.

Jeff

Why in the world would you ever want the Government providing oversight on private industry? Those guys waste billions of dollars every year. If they were held anywhere near the GAAP standards that industry is, they'd all be in jail. There needs to be a private agency that is independent of all consulting/partner fees. Industry would need to pay a standard fee to have their books audited. Violations would need to be enforced with jail time or firm fines that hurt. Then maybe you'd have some expertise in auditing. Expertise doesn't exist in the Government. Please realize that.
