Hi John:

I don't agree with some of the points within J Weil's article. All IMO of course

1) The accounting was an excuse for the drop. The market was already dropping on fundamentals.

2) TYC's accounting issues were cleared appx 2 years ago. TYC dropped cause they changed their stratgey which shows they significantly over paid for the latest finance acquisition (but whats $5B in shareholder dilution compared with its recent market drop). The accounting news only accelerated the pe contraction. Really look @ the debt to equity (of course we have to factor out some goodwill here in the asset / equity) and you'll see why they've been dumping tyc.

3) I'm not sure the economic news was so upbeat since they revised the Nov # down which made the Dec # look better than the forecast but it was actually worse.

Isn't reporting and spin grand.
