Hmmm.... limtextile, your mail reminds me of my old favorite, a Communards track “It Ain´t Necessarily So”. From informed sources I have heard that network is data only and there are no phones, works only with a laptop, speed is not 2.4 Mbs but “up to” 2 Mbs but in practice much less. It is like a WLAN with larger coverage and lesser speed.

Or are we missing something here? Let me think... oh, yes, we are missing the 2.4 Mbs phone you claimed was commerially available. Tsk, tsk, limtextile, were you caught with your pants down again? (this is why you are called limtextile I suppose).

This brings me to my fav topic: a high speed phone is utterly pointless. To have any use for high speed you need a laptop. Can you see your high heeled, miniskirted latina girlfriend hanging around a laptop in her Prada purse? BTW I strongly recommend, but I am not talking about the laptop.
