Oracle guides revenues lower, but you'd have to look pretty deep to ferret it out:

5:59pm 01/30/02 [ORCL] ORACLE CFO CRITICIZES SEQUENTIAL SALES COMPARISONS
6:00pm 01/30/02 [ORCL] ORACLE MAKES NO CHANGE TO EPS
5:58pm 01/30/02 [ORCL] ORACLE'S SAYS IT EXPECTS FLAT SEQENTIAL GROWTH IN Q4

Thing was, analysts expected increasing revs (from 2.37 billion to 2.5 billion consensus) sequentially:

biz.yahoo.com

No wonder CFO dood is critical. "Hey we ain't making more money, but look at those margins GROW!"<G> Oh yeah, and disregard the fact that they trade at 9x sales, and 38 times earnings for a company expected to grow in the single digit range for the forseeable future!
