Dawg, it is NOT true. The TRUE story is, in fact, much better

He met her line dancing and she told him right away she had been married and had 2 children, one of whom was handicapped, having been dropped by his father as a baby. He showed up at her door (or, rather, her parents' door) the next day with flowers. He was stocking shelves at the local Hy Vee grocery store.
He adopted those two children, they have two more together, and the handicapped child is in school and doing well. He can see shapes, etc. They never talk about their children.
