It was not a very good law. But as long as it existed, it had to be applied even- handedly, to Democrats as well as Republicans, and it was........ ************************************************************* There's the problem in a nut shell. Instead of fighting to overturn "not very good laws," political enemies pursue them using financial resources that could be better spent elsewhere. What's your position on the Iran Contra affair?....I, for one, believe Ronald Reagan & Oliver North were truly heroic in that episode. It was the far left's turn to use the law in order to campaign for the next presidential election at that time. Is it not curious how a major legal entanglement always manages to find its way to every modern president's door step?......far from coincidence.
