I understand the technical difference you explained. In terms of reliability, which one works better: traditional or percentage?

Why would you want to use percentage if it contradicts the traditional?

I should point out that log and percentage are different things, the P&F charts are actually percentage charts - each box is a percentage above/below the previous box, the percentage is user defined. The percentage values are calculated internally using log (or is it ln).
