The interesting thing about triadic instructions is that they already exist in x86 at the microcode level. For example:

add reg1, reg2 ; add the value in reg2 to the value in reg1, storing the result in reg1.

would actually be executed as:

add rename reg1, reg1, reg2 ; add the value in reg2 to the value in reg1, storing the result in rename reg1.
