I am not sure it is all bad. Probably as someone said, creates the situation were the back office helps to win football games. It also prevents the media center giants from dominating year after year. Bottom line is that teams with great organizations (ownership and management) tend to be able to reinvent themselves after a down year or two. (San Francisco or Dallas for example)
