Don't you ALWAYS split 10's under certain circumstances... ie. dealer showing 6???? Assuming neutralish count?

Even though I never play I've always split tens. Seems like a higher chance of drawing another 10. Unless the dealer draws 21 it's hard to beat.

The criticism that I've heard about playing your own hand is people are like " if you had not taken that hit the dealer would have drawn ______, and busted"
Unless someone at the table is psychic they couldn't posibly know what the next few cards are; therefore the criticism is invalid. Superstition at best.

As usual, there are two sets of rules, one for you and one for dem. If they catch you counting, hopefully they just show you the door, not the back room.

However, many of the bj dealers are taught to count, and they are usually working the hi roller tables. If the count goes against the house (too many low cards dealt), they will shuffle even a double deck after dealing only one hand.

I've seen it happen many times, and all you can do is walk away. For the casino, it's fair to cheat!
