Most interesting is the fact that even if the FED is expanding the monetary base to prop up the stock market currency traders embrace the USD. Today reports indicate that the employment by manufacturing / producing enterprises in the Chicago area arrived at a low not seen since WWII -- this means lower than in 1974-78 recession or 1982/3 recession but the market celebrates as if the recovery is around the corner.

A case can be made that most productive enterprises are on the costal states but then again what they do manufacture of meaningful importance on the East Coast ??.

The "New Economy" pipe dream continues IMHO
