I think HP-Compaq merger is irrelevant to Sun.

It will be good for Compaq and HP tho. Imagine you are a Compaq or a HP customer. Why on Earth would you be confused? The companies merge. So what? They sack some people, close some plants and take advantage of economies of scale. They win, customers win, some employees lose. That's it. What else have I left out?
