I think many forget the point that the cost of doing business is much more expensive today than it was pre - Sept.11. Further there were over 2 million jobs lost due to the DOT.COM and Sept.11. A shift took place from high paying jobs to emergency - low paying jobs this has diminished the buying power in addition the level of debt is very high even at ZERO% financing. Most people bought all they needed due to the low level of interest rates demand will be sluggish IMHO
