I hope no one missed the Cadant acquisition announcement from ARRIS. This acquisition on January 8 was a pivotal strategic move for them, and one that should pay big dividends. Both the Cadant C4 and the CMTS1500 are DOCSIS 1.1 qualified. This is critical for being able to support the PacketCable initiatives for VoIP over the HFC infrastructure.
