it really was fun to install.

downloading was exciting, especially choosing which version.

there was plenty of reading to do prior to installing....

lots of knowledge base articles and technet stuff

even some hotfix bulletins to peruse.

i wasn't exactly sure if things would go smoothly, so i just went for it

yes, the roll-up package was good for me

i almost went back to smoking

I've really enjoyed XP thus far. This "system restore" feature is very nice. If you get into trouble it can "travel back in time" to a place where all configurations were working. It does force one to re-install things at times, but it beats the heck out of "safe mode" fixits
