It also sounds like they're projecting an unusually long construction time. Granted, intel's F22 currently holds the industry record for a "Greenfield" Startup (from the dirt) at 18 months, and that is also unusual, but 3 years to build a fab and get started?? Of course, might not be as easy overseas as in Arizona.... While your fab holds the record for the fastest startup, AMD's Dresden F30 probably holds the record for the slowest. AMD takes at least twice as long as Intel to bring up a fab and years more to get it to 100% capacity. EP
