Oh yes, that's a wonderful idea.....each state with a different law. Can you imagine the mayhem that would cause in the nation? Women of reproductive age will naturally reside in the states that give them the greatest control over their own lives. They would avoid those states that decide abortion is illegal. Could be a very interesting demographic setup throughout the country. Young men would follow the young females. We'll have senior states & Club Med states.

Given that the federal criminal code is chock full of conduct prohibited as a matter of federal law, like terrorism for one, it's difficult to argue that that criminal law is something that is, or ought to be, restricted to the states.
