I think we will tread a similar road as Japan, but not quite the same. First, we will be entering a severe downturn in synchrony with much of the rest of the industrialized world. Second, we have no savings and have much larger misallocations to deal with. Third, I think the US will let companies fail and adjustements to take place once hope is given up 1st or 2nd quarter of next year -- maybe even a bank or two will be allowed to go bust -- not sure if this will speed things up or not, but I'm hopeful ... about 2006 - 2007 <ng>
