When my 20 year old started urinating around the house, it turned out to be a thyroid imbalance - very common and usually treatable.

However, cats will stop using the box whenever something is wrong. A trip to the vet and a blood test will tell you what's the matter.

Please take him to the vet asap. My daughter's cat started doing the same thing and had to be put on insulin injections.

He also could have FUS, both serious stuff.

Lost1, I hope everything is okay with your cat. I agree with Mrs. Peel regarding treatment. Cats are considered senior after age 7.
