Hello Sherry. This post will be way off topic but it will be only this one post. Since the events of Sept. 11 I have had a need to understand why muslims murdered so many innocent people in the USA. During my life time I have never looked into what other religions do or what they stand for, I believed in live and let live. Sept. has changed all of that. What I have learned from others on SI that study islam is that this is one very sick religion/cult. islam is through out the world and is starting to get a foot hold in the USA and here is what I don't understand. Why are there not outraged women and girls protesting against this so called religion, A religion that treats females like they are livestock, a religion that trades little girls to pay debts, a religion that does not permit education of little girls as they would boys. Surah 4:3 A wife is a sex object " Your wives are as a tilth ( a field to be ploughed ) unto you, so approach your tilth when or how ye will." Surah 2:223 Unnatural sex is allowed " Narrated Jaber; Jews used to say: If one has a sexual intercourse with his wife from the back , then she will deliver a squint-eyed child ." So this verse was revealed: " Your wives are a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how you will." (whether in a natural or unnatural way). Hadith vol. 6:51 Divorce is allowed " It may be if he divorced you that Allah will give him in exchange consorts better than you..." Surah 66:5 When a husband has pronounced divorce three times on his wife, she then may not lawfully remarry her husband until she has married and been divorced by another man. "...so if a husband divorces his wife he cannot after that, remarry her until after she has married another husband, and he has divorced her, in that case there is no blame on either of them if they reunite." Surah 2:230 Human Rights Islam does not permit freedom of choice regarding religion "Fight those who believe not in God nor the last day. " Surah 9:29 Islam does not teach the equality of all people " Ye (Muslims) are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind..." Surah 3:110 Any person who accepts Islam, then later turns away from it will be subject to death. Mohammed said, "Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him." Surah 4:105 According to Islam Stealing is punishable by the amputation of the hands (Surah 5:41) Adultery is punishable by public flogging (Surah 24:2) Drinking is punishable by 40-80 lashes (Hadith 8:770) Resisting Islam, punishable by death, crucifixion or the cutting off of the hands and feet (Surah 5:36) These rules will be imposed also on non-Muslims in an Islamic State " If any one desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him." Surah 3:85 No opposition party is allowed in an Islamic State " O ye who believe obey God and the apostle and those charged with authority among you. If you differ in anything among yourselves, refer it to God and His apostle." Surah 4:59 If you don't abide by these laws, you are considered: An unbeliever (Surah 5:47) A wrong-doer (Surah 5:48) A rebel (Surah 5:50) Violence Allah orders Muslims in the Quran to terrorize non-Muslims on His behalf " I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips of them.It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah." Surah 8:13-17 (See also Surah 8:60 & 9:14) Mohammed practiced violence to force people into Islam Mohammed said, "I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah."
