Ice, Thanks much for posting the Elan response.
When I reread the WSJ article I concluded Mr. Turner, the ex SEC chap who provided much of the grist-for-the-mill, is an Elan short seller. Here's the sentence that preceded Mr. Turner's comments. "Short-sellers, who benefit when a stock goes down, have often criticized it. Mr. Turner, .......".
This would hardly would pass the test for a journalistic report. I'm wondering if the Journal is now moving into the entertainment mode that has captivated so many of the media outlets these days.
