from what i understand, PO's are for a quick-and-dirty estimate of risk/reward for a position (reward is PO; risk is your stop).
but I understand what you mean by a certain set of ppl who would think it's for other purposes, unbeknownst

Price objectives are the one thing that I never bothered to learn about P&F. And I have never felt like I have a hole in my P&F knowledge because of it. I always just point people to other people who do know how to do it.
