The only work on a Hamster OS is proceeding... strange, there is no work being done on a Hamster OS.


Pretty hard to port an OS to foils or undebugged Silicon. Compaq's been working with Itanium for quite a while: an earlier effort in 97 - 98 or so that was put on hold since Merced didn't look so hot (but the work was archived); full bore since about last May when the big Alpha - Itanium switch was made.

Sigh. I guess Linux doesn't count in your book. I guess you should explain that to IBM, they don't seem to get it.
