TYCO--Only 700 OFF BALANCE SHEET ACQUISITIONS! (from Briefing) <<<06:58 ET TYC Tyco reveals $8 bln in deals: WSJ (35.63) The Wall St Journal reports that Tyco said it spent about $8 bln over the past three years on 700 acquisitions that it had not previously disclosed; company sent the information in an email to some analysts. CFO defends the actions by noting that company's filings clearly state the net amount of cash paid for all acquisitions, but agrees that he could be faulted for not providing cash figures for acquired companies, thus making it impossible for investors to figure out how much company spent on acquisitions. >>> Namaste!
