Hi jim, There were several issues regarding SEI.
Management's remarkable compensation packages was one,
and another that might be especially noteworthy in today's Zeitgeist was SEI's interesting accounting practices.

The Barrons article from June '99 went into accounting details. I could repost that if anyone is interested.

I have to admit you were right about SEI back in '00 in that the stock price went up, but still I am amazed that anyone, especially you, would want to own shrs in SEI. Like kollmhn wrote ---"...SEI has the type of management that makes you want to count your fingers after shaking hands. ..."
Of course it's true that after we discussed SEI back in '00 you made money long & I shorted it & lost money, so wdik?

Looking at SEI again has made me think better of PGO, however. <G>
