Seen by who? A few politicians might see it as an interesting personal project but the majority of the populace know it is an ill conceived plan. Forget Cali using a different currency, they speak the same language and are part of the same country. What if Mexico, Canada, the US and South and Central America all started using the same currency?

I'm talking about adopting the Euro. They chose not to adopt that currency because they understand it will undermine the strength of their economy and autonomy. What is the benefit of using the Euro? Cheaper to mass produce one currency? I don't see why they should desire to subsidize the welfare states of europe.
