You are saying that wholly unqualified individuals should be left on the job once in it, so
long as they aren't completely murderous and insane.

In the 1st place, I doubt a wholly unqualified individual would get elected to the presidency.

I'm saying the opposing political party needs to stop rummaging around the day after a new president takes office for anything they can turn into a legal free-for-all.

His job requires total concentration. Legal charges can wait 4 yrs. Afterall, it's not a lifetime.

Great post, Dan B. I am enjoying your discussion...

...with Ann Corrigan on this board.

It's one of first 'un'partisan -g- I've seen especially on this thread.

You 'moderates' have 'a lot to be said for.'

Which often pisses off those of us who are so very emotional about the puppets of the institution.

We 'hard leftists' and 'rightests' are focusing on the trees ... and not the forest.

The emotionalism -- let's use me as an example here -- my emotionalism regarding Republicans in power -- to a great degree is fueled by ignorance of how U.S. capitalism actually functions.

i.e.: Who are the BIGGER crooks: Democrat or Republican politicians? To me, it's ALWAYS the Republicans.

As well, we are all IMPOTENT. When the electricity -- and health insurance -- and cost of living in general -- those ways all of us are directly impacted by law and 'policy' ... in the wallet.

But that's beside the point.

SI discussion on even the most contentious boards is giving me an education -- knowledge -- that is helping me separate idealism from realism.

The ENE spectacle is providing a high-school-level platform to learn how this country really operates.

Valuable learning experience.
