Hi Mark,

I read Cheney's Energy Give-Away when it was first issued.
It catered to most everything that Enron wanted, except the adherence to Kyoto standards which Enron advocated so it could trade CO2 futures. I don't think you'll find a smoking gun there. More likely, it will be a series of small favors that just start to add up. Things like the Pat Wood nomination, though that was something I knew to be an Enron proposal even back last March, via the aggressive news collection on the SI "California Energy Crisis" thread. It'll just be an amorphous pattern of cronyism that will give the appearance of special dealing. Does it rise to the level of impeachment? Not likely. Will it give the Dems a lot of ammunition for the fall? You betcha.
