Yes, IA-32 will be around for a long time, but at ever decreasing prices and margins. I think the Z80 (a non-Intel 8080 lookalike) is still a good seller, but you don't see many investment and technology threads discussing it. Intel needs SOMETHING to "reach into the enterprise," but I doubt that IA-64 is it. Intel may have a winner with ARM, though, in the mobile space (not that they had much to do with its design).

Sun has TI's help on SPARC.
