"There were those who thought that it would have wasted the full impact of the bomb, and made it less effective......." In what way does "demonstrating" the power of the bomb waste the "full impact" of the bomb?? What is the "full impact" of the bomb as distinct from a power demonstration? And how is this "impact" related to "effectiveness"???
