Interesting statistic. It sounds like there is a disconnect between dividends and earnings.

BTW, are the dividends you're citing for the Dow, the S&P, or the whole market?

Dividends from MSFT and CSCO?

Massive insider buying in winter of 1998. Massive insider selling in winter of 2001.

It took 15 years for stocks to find footing before 1982. Guess we "only" have 13 more to go.
