"Bush's administration has been described as isolationist because they dare to disagree about some policies held dearly by the left (here and abroad) and to voice that disagreement." Wrong, why has Bush begun to court foriegn leaders on bioterror issues, when before 911 he snubbed them. As well, the situation in Afghanistan was a direct result of Reagan leaving that country in a vacuum after the U.S. pullout. Note how Powell and Cheney tell the Afghan people, "We won't forget about you this time around." Look how the situation in Mideast has escalated after Bush's nonintervention policy there. Why the change in attitude? I'm not saying Clinton doesn't bear some responsibility, but you cannot dump current woes exclusively on him. Bush Sr. was only a couple miles outside of Baghdad when he decided to call it quits there. Now, where are we? Going back to finish the job is the way it looks to me.
