Thanks for the compliment. I base my phase analysis on several different things. The majority are technical indications of the breadth of the market. Others are based on sentiment and historical cyclicity of economic and market trends.

All of these indications are old, and well tested. The only thing original I do is the interpretation of them.

I explained the phase 1 bull read about 4 weeks ago in this post, Message 16866201
The only thing that has really changed since then is that the DJI is now below the 200 day ma. Market breadth is still very positive as measure by A/D line and new highs/lows, etc.

I'll explain some more later- I've got a football game to watch now. <g>

IMO, ENER put in a cup and handle on friday. I watched it sail through the pivot but could not pull the trigger due to toppy market conditions. Today I pulled the trigger and got a bad entry price (don't ask).
