Such a sign is wrong not only because it identifies a particular diety. Lord is pretty much a synanim for dictator. The Lords of the middle ages had absolute rule over their subjects. It would be wrong in America to put up a sign saying anyone is a dictator as if that were a good thing. Dictators are bad things, and this is a bad sign. Thank God for the ACLU.

There is a tendency to treat the most trivial instances of "entanglement" as if they were the beginning of theocracy. It is counterproductive, creating resentment and unnecessary community dissension......
