Its not a very attractive part of the island to be sure, but that is not to say they didn;t live well. Black Point is the top end -- houses in that part of town at the peak of the market changed hands for as much as $60 million. The same property today would probably fetch $15 million. Stock markets are not the only things that experience bubbles.
