I don't know about the Long Island part, but Sir John Templeton is well into his 80s, perhaps 90s. Established the Templeton funds(Sold to the Franklyn group) and the Templeton Prize -- the largest annual monetary award.

He's one of the best -- all the way around.

I listened to the intro to wall street week again.

It was 8/14/87 when he made the cross-over prediction. The dow was under 2700, the Nikkei was over 25,000. They crossed last Friday as the Nikkei closed at 9791.
