Hey, Mish... I remember when commercials on CNBC used to be atleast a little entertaining... Mr P buying Kmart stock, old ladies getting footrubs...

But NO! Now they have to show endless ads for Time/Life music - "Get yer hot 80's dance music now!" or "The blues as you've never heard it, all in one compilation!" -- not to mention non-stop ads for hospitals and heart medication and viagra and heart/lung centers with compassionate employees... don't get me started.

Maybe it's just here in NJ... Too bad I can't get Bloomberg. It's a good thing I can flip between nature shows and the comedy channel. I should check local listings for the Price is Right.

One of these days, I'm going to apply for Maria B's job.

ENE was a heavy advertiser a year ago. Williams started advertising last fall. Dynergy started a campaign on CNBC last week.

The other "index" is the PBS advertisers index. I first noticed that ADM ran more ads whenever someone in congress would question the wisdom of giving such huge subsidies to such a huge company.

All of a sudden there would be fifteen reminders a day that ADM was "supermarket to the world" or some such nonsense.

Then they got popped for price fixing.

Gotta love capitalism!
