"so why did they fire the flash guy ? :-) " Why him in particular? Maybe it was his decision, we don't really know. In general, it was Hector marking his territory, as any new CEO will do. It almost never has anything to do with the ex-holder of that position, and has everything to do with the CEO surrounding himself with his own buds. It's a peculiar ritual that you will see at virtually any company when they bring in a guy from the outside. This, by the way, is the strongest argument I can think of for promoting from within.
