"Trying to find a politician in Washington who has not been polluted by contact with the bankrupt Enron Corp. is a needle-in-a-haystack search," said a recent editorial in the Hartford Courant. "

The answer is this:

"By their actions you shall know them ... "

Harvey Pitt, as one of many examples, is not in favor of significantly stronger oversight. Perhaps Liebermand is. But we'll see who is and who isn't. That'll show who's honest and who's trying to pull the wool.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone even slightly in the way of full, absolute, total immediate disclosure should be impeached, recalled, humiliated, and/or hounded out of office. This has gone way past niceties of Beltway Bullsh*t

Which, as the editorial says about the Enron infection, could be whole lot of people, unless they change their ways.
