LL, I agree with what you say for the most part. I guess since CH has been publicly been given permission to post suggestive PM's, he now needs to "do the right" thing. He needs to post them or admit that he was jesting. I think it is pretty obvious to anyone that posts or lurks on this thread, that he was playing a game. The way I see it is, he just intentionally turned that tables, to see how those who have chosen to side with his accusers would feel when it is one of them that he says shared flirtatious PM's with him. I see it as a role reversal. He has done to them exactly what he has been accused of. Why should he provide proof when none of his accusers have been willing to publicly prove their accusations?? (It's the old double standard, coming into play. Why should he prove the statements he made, be it in jest or down right lies (or even truth for all any of us know for certain), when others have not proven what they have to say???) Isn't that old saying..."Turn about IS FAIR play!!" (BTW, I tend to agree with the points that Greg made in his post as well.) Jane

The rules are simple: It's OK to post PMs UNLESS they contain personal information such as real names addresses, telephone #s, or bank acct info OR the sender has requested privacy. Laz, I propose that there is a difference between what's "okay," and what SI thinks is its business to regulate or take action on. Personally, I would be very displeased to have any PM of mine, however innocuous, posted publicly without my express permission. I assume that most people instinctively abide by that protocol. Anyone who did otherwise would be looked on askance, I think (and would find they got very few PM's!)

Jeesh. Okay, y'all. You want to know the truth? I was exercising the recommendation to "make love, not war." YYB attacked me out of the blue. I decided not to retaliate with war, but love. Using slight exaggeration -- just a bit of poetic license. I hoped she would laugh and get on with life. She decided not to. Oh well. Were there ever any PMs in which YYB expressed to me her undying passion for me? Well, I can't prove a negative. So I don't know for a fact that there weren't. Maybe there were. Maybe she composed them hour after hour in the privacy of her boudoir, and just neglected to hit the Submit button. But if there were, sadly, I never received them. Yet, at least. Therefore I couldn't produce them. Yet, at least. But a guy is entitled to dream. And I'm sure that if YYB ever DID meet me in person, she would fall for me so hard there would be dozens of such PMs. No doubt about that. So maybe I was just anticipating a bit. Writing history before it happened, as it were. So. Got it, everybody? Now, everybody, let's lighten up. Make love, not war. YYB, let's kiss and make up. Okay? I will if you will.
