Quoting George Gilder from another post here:Message 17000183 "If you believe the news coverage, corporate leaders are racing to despoil, mulct, defraud, poison, pillage, and ruin their own businesses, their nation's soils and waters, their retirement funds, and the world economy." Of course the above quote outlines an absurdity. Corporate leaders simply don't have such goals, Republican or not, overstated here or not. I'll take you at your word when you say "my emotionalism regarding Republicans in power -- to a great degree is fueled by ignorance of how U.S. capitalism actually functions," and tell you this: I believe if you do ever come to gleen just how Capitalism(freedom, to me) works, you will no longer worry about middle of the road(extreme to you) Republicans, save perhaps in a way much like I do. I'm a libertarian who thinks his "extremism" exists with a full view to the forest, and the forest is shouting "you can save this forest by learning well that, Freedom Works," P.S. To acknowledge your lack of understanding of how Capitalism works even as you take the opportunity to "g(rin)" and suggest that an apparent capitalist like George Coyne wants a GED level understanding from you is, perhaps, no more nor less than you simply being on the precipice of beginning to realize that your concern with Republicans and Capitalism is indeed based only in the very ignorance you claim, just as you say. Once that ignorance were overcome, yes, you would change greatly. Capitalism is nothing to fear. Bless it. Dan B
