John, My take is that God tolerates the game, but the pre-game and halftime crap is straight from Hell. <g>

I like the guys who pray that nobody gets hurt and then go out and clothesline some unsuspecting running back.

But football is big money and religious folks have big money to spend. Especially the t.v. preachers. And not all of them spend it on roadside taste treats like Jimmy Swaggart. <g> You can sell the religious football player, but it is hard to spiritualize the serial fathers in the NBA. And anyone in the PGA who is not praying that Tiger stays healthy enough to play, but develops a hookworm in his swing, just hasn't been paying attention.

With all the Muslim athletes, how come Mohammad doesn't get equal time?
