They do but we give them the money. The US currently gives about $3 billion a year to Israel, mostly tied to defense purchases. The US also gives about $2 billion a year to Egypt. I forget how much Jordan gets.

Conservative estimates are around $6 billion annually, others are around $10 billion. It is hard to track all the subsidies and tax breaks, which go on top of the direct aid and loan "guarantees".

So far, the blowing up of bar mitzvahs has not convinced them otherwise.

Definitely true. Americans have been trained to think Jews at a bar mitzvah or a disco are more human than the Palestinian civilians who are killed by Israelis (in greater numbers).
