I have Norton Personal Firewall installed, but it never runs, not even in the background, and I already uninstalled Download Accellerator. There is a "Repair" function in IE6.0 if you go to Add/Remove Programs; however, because I am using XP, IE6 does not show up in the list since is an integreal part of XP. I am not sure anything would change by doing this anyway, since I receive the same error whether I am in IE6, Netscape, Opera, or Copernic browsers. I also rolled back my system to before the problem stated occurring(a nice feature of XP), but the problem remained, while everything else was reverted.

Didn't some 128 bit encrypted sites initially have a problem with IE 6.0? I seem to recall a few bank sites having an issue.

It was working fine for two months on ALL encrypted sites before this came out of the blue.

I also tried deleting a registry key as part of an MS fix for a very similar issue, but no dice.

This is the most frustrated I have been on any computer issue.

Regards,

Brian
