Cal Gary,

<<I have read a poster on another thread -US stock-
claiming to be a former (retired??) pharma exec or marketer, saying the games being played by pharma competitors were dirty serious, ruthless and very nasty >>

There is a new book that just came out called Prescription Games. It details the lengths pharmas will go to to undermine other pharmas, up to and including the consideration of serious bodily harm (as in murder) to key personnel, sending in commando-like people on night raids to steal files, pilfering garbage and so on.

One fellow even says that the people he worked for implied (but would not implicitly state) they wanted the head of a certain large generic manufacturer here in Canada, made a part of terra firma. He would not bite on that one. He did readily admit to dawning a black suit and black face paint and breaking into offices of pharmas to steal key info.

In any event, when billion of dollars are often at stake for one drug, it is easy to see how stuff like this could happen.

And it is understandable that REK takes security very seriously in the Quebec plant -- I have no doubt they have likely already experienced some of this stuff.
