How true. Yet there are some contingencies with which to counterbalance.
For instance, in this age where there are breast cancer commercials on tv we forget the modern version of the old float test ('toss her in the water, if she doesn't drown she is not a witch - if she floats, she is') as in when a woman has to appear for such a test and the doctor says This may hurt, may I numb your breasts - to which, invariably, the woman will state a quick Yes

At which point, the physician goes Numnumnumnumnumnumnum

Perhaps after all there are some improvements upon Torquemada.
