<< Why then, do Israelis seek to become neighbors with Palestinian terrorists by building settlements among them? >>

Have you ever looked at a map of the area. The Arabs have massive amounts of land. Israel's tiny piece of land is hardly noticeable.

Regardless of where Israel builds settlements, it is going to be near the barbaric Palestinians. They have no choice.

Personally, I strongly feel that the West Bank and Gaza belong to Israel. They, deservedly, took this land after many Arab wars against Israel. The lands are the spoils of the wars which were declared against Israel.

The Arab nations should have lost a lot more than the small amount of land in the West Bank and Gaza. Perhaps, after the next Arab war against Israel, the Arabs won't be so fortunate. That might be a factor in why the Arab Nations haven't attacked Israel again. They don't want to lose any more land.
