From Briefing: 19:35 ET AMZN Amazon.com and Morgan Stanley tell different stories (13.73)
This week's Plugged In column in Barron's recounts the story of a shareholder suit against AMZN in which AMZN and Morgan Stanley, the lead underwriter of a past debt offering, tell different stories about whether expected payments from AMZN partners would be made in cash or stock. Suits claims that AMZN indicated it would be paid in cash and Morgan Stanley agreed, while AMZN claims that it never said it would be paid in cash.
