MM Did you see the recent polt of Nikkei VS Dow in most recent IBD. I can see why older moderately well off Japanese are in total anguish if you combine this with zero interest rates and moves to reduce deposit insurance.

Some hedge some don't. Franco-Nevada, for one, has been taken a vocal anti-hedging stance for a long time now.

I do not believe the argument that Gold is a relic. Japan is collapsing, Argintina did already. The financial system as we know it is being tested, if cracks appear then people will have no safe harbours outside of GOLD and other hard assets.
