Volcker is a real heavyweight. He should help their image considerably.

Yes, that's good. This is not about individuals or individual "justice". Volcker has a task to ensure accounting standards are improved for the USA and for the world, no matter what the individual cost is. Maybe the guilty will go free, and some innocents get harmed. The result is the important thing. -just my view-

Anyway, I notice Joe Berardino has been an Anderson guy since 1972. He was admitted into partnership in 1982. An interesting year. That was the time Maggie Thatcher (UK Prime Minister at the time) was gunning after Anderson for £200 million in damages after the De Lorean scandal that cost the UK tax payers plenty.

So I hope Joe was cleaning up the Anderson act even back then. It seems a pity that his efforts ended in vain, and now we have the Enron scandal.
